home for the holidays. Life is good. Turkey is good. Home until Sunday which I believe is the 27th. In a way I don't want to go back. I love New York, but there's always something about the fresh air and laid back atmosphere of my hometown. The way it turns into a ghost town after 1am, the way the air smells, the pitch blackness of the night sky. It's very reassuring to know that there will always be a place to get away from everyone and everything. A place to think. For instance going to the lake (Codorus State Park) Walking to the shore line and staring at the water for 2 hours. Listening to the echoes of voices laughing across the other side of the lake, or the miniature waves crashing onto the rocks. this is something that I would do almost every weekend as a kid.

While I was home I met up with good friend Brandon. He asked If I would be interested in skating an indoor skate ramp tucked deep away in the outskirts of Westminster, MD. We got out of the car, walked over to the barn. One of the most fantastic skate spots I have ever seen. Apparently a couple of older skate dudes decided to turn an old barn into a gigantic halfpipe spanning the width of the barn. Something every skater dreams of doing some day. I had the best time ever. Got a couple of tricks in, as well as a couple of crashes. I look forward to going back again soon.

Until then. I'll be looking forward to the extended Christmas break. and then hopefully Mardi Gras coming up in February.

Here are some photos from last night at "skatebarn"
